Currently unfilled positions:
- Sponsorship secretary – Through monitoring the media, publications and emails, the role is to identify, approach, negotiate with and manage potential sponsors or benefactors. This role requires working closely with the Treasurer, as well as the President and Vice-President in the long-term planning and relations with the society’s benefactors.
- Membership Secretary – Main responsibilities for the Membership Secretary are the maintenance of membership lists and the co-ordination of events to attract new members. They also work with the Treasurer to collect entrance payments at events and membership fees. This role also requires working with the Social and Cultural Secretary to arrange one social aimed at increasing membership per term.
- In addition, the society needs College reps in each college to put up posters and to advertise events through JCR and MCR mailing lists. This is a role that only requires up to an hour a week and is a good place to start for anyone interested in the European Affairs Society. College reps also, along with committee members, have first choice to go to dinner with invited speakers.
